To Register a New Project

To register a new project, do one of the following:

Click the PlantSight icon ( ), and then click Register a project

or

From the Project menu on a Project page, select Add new project. For example,

The Register a Project wizard opens to the Project Information step. For example,

Note: Required settings are indicated with an asterisk ( * ).

Enter a Project number and a Project name.

Select a method for locating the project:

Use Location – to enter an Engineering Location.

or

Use Latitude/Longitude – enter the Latitude and Longitude of the project location.

Select the Time Zone, Data Center Location, and Billing Country, from their lists.

Select the project Status. Your option is Active or Inactive.

Select Allow external team members if you want to invite external members to the project team.

If you selected Allow external team members in Step 6, you can select Cover the cloud service usage costs for external team members if you want to be responsible for the cloud service usage costs, otherwise leave this option blank in order for the external team members to be responsible for their own cloud service usage costs.

If you want to use this project as a template for future projects, select Use this project as Template.

Click Next. The wizard advances to the Pick Template step. For example,

If you do not want to base this project on a template, click Skip and Register. The project is created.

To base this project on a template, follow these steps:

From the Pick a Project Template list, do one of the following:

Select Bentley project template to base this project on a Bentley-supplied template format

or
Select Organization project template to base this project on a custom organization-defined template format
Select a Project
Click Next. The wizard advances to the Configure Template step. For example,
Accept or change any of the selections supplied by the chosen template.
Click Register.

The project is created.
